If you own a games console, you may want to link one or more gaming consoles to your Internet connection and network to partake in online or LAN gaming with friends or fellow gamers across the world, but would like to avoid the tangle of wires spread across your home! The WGE111 enables you to establish this connectivity, without loads of cables running across your lounge, bedroom or games room.
For online (Internet) gaming, the WGE111 gaming adapter can be attached to a game console’s Ethernet port to be linked to a wireless network (wireless router required). For LAN (AdHoc) gaming, two WGE111s or more can be used to link two games consoles to each other, without a wireless router even being needed – ideal for network gaming parties. An external switch on the WGE111 wireless gaming adapter allows you to easily switch between Internet and AdHoc modes, and the device is compatible with both 802.11b and 802.11g networks.
